Try the Task Manager test
To open Task Manager, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete or right-click on your taskbar and choose Task Manager. Keep an eye on the screen for flickering once Task Manager is open.

- On the other hand, if everything else seems fine except for Task Manager flickering, it’s probably due to an incompatible application running on your system.
How to fix the issue?
Here are six methods to help you fix the issue:
Check cable connections
Check all the cable connections between your monitor and computer to ensure they’re properly plugged in. If you have extra monitor cables, consider swapping them out with your current ones to see if that resolves the issue.
For Acer laptops, try gently lowering and raising the screen multiple times to see if the flickering is affected by movement. If you notice flickering at certain angles but not others, it could indicate faulty internal wiring.
If you can access a second monitor, connect it to your laptop or desktop to determine if the flickering persists on the built-in display or primary monitor. If the issue is indeed hardware-related, you might need to get it repaired.
Change the refresh rate
Many users have reported that adjusting the screen refresh rate to 60 Hertz can effectively resolve the screen flickering issue on Acer laptops. Here’s how to do that:
Step 1:Â Right-click on the desktop and click on the Display settings option in the dropdown menu.
Step 2: In the display settings window, scroll down to the right side of the window and click on Advanced Display settings, which are available under the Multiple Displays section.
Step 3: Click on Display adapter properties for Display. If you have multiple displays, choose the display from the dropdown list under Choose Display and then click on the Display adapter properties for the Display.
Step 4: In the pop-up window, click on the Monitor tab. Under the Monitor Settings section, click on the dropdown list and select the refresh rate for your monitor. Click on Apply button and then click on the OK button.
Roll back Display driver

Step 2: Find and expand the Display adapters category and right-click on the driver.
Step 3: In the pop-up menu, click on the Properties option.
Step 4: Click on the Driver tab and then the Roll Back Driver button.
After this, restart your PC and check whether the issue is resolved.
Update Display driver
Outdated or faulty display drivers can cause flickering. Here’s how to update the display driver:
Step 1: Press the Windows+X and tap on the Device Manager option in the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Find and then expand the device category in which you want to update the drivers, and right-click on the driver.
Step 3: Click on the Update driver option in the pop-up menu.
Step 4: In the new window, click on the Search automatically for drivers option.
Uninstall Display driver
If updating or reverting back to the previous version of the driver doesn’t solve the problem, you can attempt a clean reinstallation. Simply uninstall the display driver through Device Manager and then restart your Acer device. Upon rebooting, Windows should automatically reinstall a basic driver to replace the one you removed. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Press the Windows+X and tap on the Device Manager option in the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Find and then expand the faulty device category, and right-click on the driver that you think is faulty.
