However, the main premise remains the e-commerce business which is mainly run on the Amazon app. Now, generally speaking, Amazon has done a pretty good job of streamlining the shopping experience on the app and make it as bug-free as possible, but it’s still not immune to errors.

Restart your device
Whether you’re on an Android or iPhone, restarting your device can fix a bunch of seemingly random issues. The same applies to the Amazon app as well. If you see random issues here and there, try restarting your phone to check if the issue goes away.
Check if Amazon is online
Although rare, there’s a chance that Amazon’s servers could be offline. This could be due to maintenance, server overload or some other issue. You can’t really do anything about this from your end to its best to sit tight and check back a few minutes later.

Check your internet connection
Another important thing to keep in mind while debugging potential issues is to ensure that you have an active internet connection with stable, good speeds. If you’re on cellular data, make sure that it’s enabled and that you have good network coverage.
If you’re on WiFi, try restarting the router and make sure that you have internet access. Also, check the signal to make sure that you have good signal strength, which can directly impact your network speed.
Update the Amazon app
Another possible reason for the issue could be that your Amazon app is out of date. Head over to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and check if you’ve got any updates. If you have, install them immediately and try again.
Reinstall the Amazon app
If updating didn’t resolve your issue, try reinstalling the app altogether to see if that fixes the problem. To install the app on Android, press and hold the app icon and drag it over to the Uninstall button to the top right.
On iOS devices, tap and hold the app. After a few seconds, you’ll see a cross icon show up on each app. Press the cross on the Amazon app to uninstall.
Update Android WebView
Android Webview is a system component that lets apps show website content straight within an app. The Amazon app uses this component heavily, and if you’ve got some problems here, chances are they’re gonna show up in the Amazon app as well. Here’s how you can update this.
- Head over to the Play Store and search for Android System WebView.
- Open the app page tap on the Uninstall button.
- Once the uninstall is finished, tap the Update button to get the app up to date again.
Now restart your phone and try again.

Amazon browser issues
If you’re accessing the native Amazon site on a web browser from your PC and are facing issues, try these fixes to see if you can get it running again.
Clear out browser data
Try clearing out your browser data to make sure no corrupt files are messing with the site loading.
Step 1: Type in chrome://settings/clearBrowserData in your browser’s address bar and hit Enter.
Step 2: Select the cache and cookies options and make sure the Time range is set to All time. Click on the Clear now button to clear out all the data
Try switching to a different browser
The issue you’re facing can be a browser-specific one as well. To diagnose this, try switching to a different browser and visit the Amazon site. If you can access the site fine, the issue exists in your current browser. Try reinstalling the browser or resetting it to fix the problem.
Disable VPN/Proxies
While VPNs are a great way of keeping yourself safe online, many sites use your geolocation data to show you local products and recommendations. This is even more important for Amazon as not all sellers ship items globally. So if Amazon detects a VPN or Proxy on your end, there’s a good chance that the site might malfunction.
