Blocking sim is necessary if you have lost your phone and fear it might end up in the wrong hand or damaged the sim card somehow. Gone are the days when you have to make rounds to the company office to get your sim blocked. Reliance Jio offers some quick solutions to your problem.
If you are a Jio user, you can easily block your sim card by via the website or by calling their 24×7 helpline. We have explained both the methods below.
Block Jio sim via the website
Here are the steps to block Jio sim via the website. To continue with the process, first, go to Jio.com on a browser either on your PC or smartphone and then enter the mobile number to sign in. Then follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Click on the Settings option at the top right (refer to the screenshot below). Step 2: Next, click on Suspend and Resume from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Then click on the downward arrow button to select the reason for blocking the sim.
Step 4: After you have selected the reason, click on Suspend to block the sim card.
You can again resume the services by following the same procedure as mentioned above. Just click on the Resume button at the right of the Suspend button to resume the sim.
Currently, you cannot block your sim via the MyJio app. You will have to take the help of the website.

Block Jio sim via the helplineÂ
If you are unable to access a computer, you can try the Jio helpline to block the number. You can dial the following Jio helpline number to get your sim blocked: 1800-890-9999.
You can again unblock the number by calling the helpline again.
