Switch to a different display mode
You can try switching between the Fullscreen, Borderless and Windowed display modes from the in-game settings. Many players facing the frame drop issue while playing the Castillo protocol have resolved this issue by switching to a different display mode.
Update the graphics drivers of your PC

Launch Callisto protocol as an administrator
Sometimes the PC does not give enough permission to the game that is necessary to run the game. Running the game as an administrator will allow the game to get the required permissions and might fix the error. To do that Right-click on the game icon or game’s .exe file and then in the drop-down menu find the Run as administrator option and click on it.

Change a few in-game settings

- Turn off V-sync
- Disable the Depth of Field
- Disable the Motion Blur

Close the running tasks in the background
Some of the tasks running in the background consume a lot of PC resources and space which might cause the frame drop issue, so close the background and run the game again. To close the background tasks follow the steps below:
- Press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc button simultaneously to open Task Manager.
- Click on the Processes tab and then select the tasks running in the background from the list.
- Click on the End Task button to close that task.
- Do the same to close all the running tasks in the background that you want to close.

Close the background downloads
Downloading apps or updates also consumes some PC resources and space and which might cause this issue. So close all the background downloads before launching and playing the Castillo protocol.
Set to High Performance in power options
