How to cancel a ride on Uber’s app?
If you’re on the Uber app, here’s how to cancel your booking.
- Once you’ve made your booking, swipe up on the driver information available at the bottom of the screen.
- You’ll see a Cancel button. Tap on it to cancel your ride.
- Uber will ask if you’re sure you want to cancel your ride and that you may be charged partially if you do so. Tap on Yes, Cancel to cancel the booking.

How to cancel a ride on Uber’s website?
If you’ve booked on your PC or using the Uber website, you can cancel it in three simple steps.
Step 1: Scroll down on the left, where the driver and trip details are displayed.
Step 2: Click on the Cancel this trip button.
Step 3: Uber will confirm whether you want to cancel and tell you that you might be partially charged for the trip. Click on Yes, I’ll cancel, and your Uber ride will be cancelled.
