As home delivery extends to more and more items other than just online shopping, new apps have constantly been popping up, letting people order just about anything.
Zomato is a food-delivery app with a good track record and well-rounded customer support. You can order from a pretty wide range of restaurants around you and be confident that you’ll get quality food.
In this article, we’re taking a look at how to cancel Zomato orders.

Cancelling Zomato orders
Now cancelling orders on Zomato isn’t as straightforward as you’d think, and for good reasons. You see, once your order is accepted, the restaurant starts preparing your food right away. If you cancel an order, the next order in line gets delayed unnecessarily, and as you’d probably have guessed, time is essential when you’re ordering food.
The only way you can cancel Zomato orders once you’ve placed them is by reaching out to their customer support. Just follow these steps.
- Open the Zomato app and tap on your profile picture in the top right.
- Tap on Your Orders.
- Tap the order you want to cancel.
- Tap the Support button in the top right.
Once you’re connected to support, explain that you want to cancel the order, and if the customer support representative finds your reason valid enough, they’ll cancel your order.
How do you get the refund?
Once you’ve cancelled your order, you become eligible for a refund. Your refund will be sent back to the original payment mode you used when ordering your food.
Here’s how long each payment method’s refunds take.
Payment Method | Refund duration |
---|---|
Paytm Wallet | Several hours |
UPI | 3-4 business days |
Debit/Credit Card | 5-7 business days |
Sodexo | 5 business days |
NetBanking | 5-7 business days |
