How to change the background colour of Instagram stories?

Open the Instagram app and follow the steps mentioned below to change the background colour on Android or iOS.

• Go to the homepage and tap on Your story at the top-left corner of the screen.
• Here you can either choose to take a new photo or select one from the gallery.
• Now press the Marker icon from the options in the toolbar at the top.
• On the next tab, you will get multiple colour options for the background; choose your preferred colour.

•  After selecting the desired colour long press on the screen, which will turn it into the selected colour.
• Now you can either write by selecting various Sharpies or can go on the previous window and add stickers.
• Save the file and then hit the Send to button to upload your story.

How to change the Instagram story background colour with an image in the backdrop?

Open the Instagram app and follow the steps below if you want to add a Instagram story with a background colour that can be erased to bring out elements of a selected photo in the backdrop.

• Go to the homepage and tap on Your story at the top-left corner of the screen.
• Here you can either choose to take a new photo or select one from the gallery.
• Now press the Marker icon from the options in the toolbar at the top.
• On the next tab, you will get multiple colour options for the background; choose your preferred colour.

• Long press on the screen to change the colour of the background.
• Now select the Eraser icon from the options at the top of the screen.
• Using the Eraser tool edit the colour on the picture.
• Save the file and then hit the Send to button to upload your story.

How to change the Instagram story background colour by copying photo? (for iOS)

To change the Instagram story colour on your iPhone follow the steps below.

• Go to the homepage and tap on Your story at the top-left corner of the screen.
• Here you can either choose to take a new photo or select one from the gallery.
• Now press the Marker icon from the options in the toolbar at the top.
• On the next tab, you will get multiple colour options for the background; choose your preferred colour.

• Long press on the screen to change the screen colour.
• Now swipe down the Instagram window and go to the photo gallery and select the image you wish to upload.
• Then tap on the Share icon on the bottom-left corner of the screen.
• Select Copy Photo button on the follow-up tab.
• From here open the app selection window of your phone and go to the Instagram app.

• On Instagram colour change window you will get the pop-up of the newly copied image; Tap on the Image.
• Your photo will be added upon the selected background colour.

Using these three methods you can change the Instagram background colour of your images and make them more appealing.
