If you’ve ever travelled across India you know that trains are one of the most convenient, economical and practical options. With the next-gen IRCTC (or Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) online ticketing portal and app, booking tickets is just as easy.

In the financial year 2017-2018, Indian railways sold Rs 28.475 crores worth of train tickets online and chances are you also contributed to that number with at least a few dozen tickets.

The IRCTC web portal and app offer services such as ticket bookings, cancellations, rescheduling alongwith letting you access your previous booking records. It also allows people to sign up as agents letting them book tickets for others as well.

More often than not, knowing your past bookings can help you find a train you travelled on in the past in case you might need to make another booking on the same route. If you’re having issues with refunds or just need to check where you’ve been previously, booking history comes in handy. IRCTC keeps a detailed record of all your bookings.

In this article, we’re going to take a look at how to check your booking history on the IRCTC app and web portal.
