Deleting Joom Account
Initially, you may have difficulty looking for a direct option that allows you to delete your account. There is no exact heading, and Joom allows you to delete your data instead of your account. This option will ultimately delete your account as you get signed out when you opt for this option.
Whatsoever reason you may have to delete your Joom account, you can do so through any of the following options:
On Joom website
Open Joom.com and log into your account. Then follow the steps below to delete Joom account.
Step 1: Scroll down to the bottom of the website. Click on the Privacy policy option.
Step 2: Scroll down and under Manage your personal data, click on the Delete data option.
Step 3: On the dialogue box warning you of what will happen if you delete your data, click on Send a request allowing Joom to delete your data from their servers.
Through Joom app
Open the Joom app on your phone and follow the steps mentioned below to delete Joom account.
- Tap on the profile icon at the bottom-right of the screen.
- This opens your account page. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and tap on the option Privacy & terms. You can also tap on Personal data under the Personal information heading.
- It will show you four options, tap on the Personal information option.
- Here you will be shown four options as well. To delete your account, you can tap on the Delete data option.
- After this, click on Send a request option which will inform Joom of your decision to delete your personal data.
- They will ask you to leave your email address so they can inform you when your account is deleted. However, this is not a compulsory option.
- Add your email account in the box and click on Delete my account.
Via Customer support
Step 1: Open the Joom website and on the Support option, which will be located in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Click on it and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click on an orange button titled, Ask a question.
Step 3: This opens a dialogue box where you must provide your name and email. Then below that, in the Describe your issue box, give the reason behind deleting your account. Then click on Send. Attach any file if you have any other issues.
Delete Joom account via email
If none of the above options seems to work out for you, you can always email them.
Send Joom an email to either support@joom.com or privacy@joom.com.
Provide your contact details along with your name. Also, give a valid reason for why you want them to delete your account and all your data.
