Linkedin is unarguably one of the largest online social networking communities and is often referred to as the Facebook of the professional world. However, not every connection made on Linkedin is guaranteed to be fruitful and quite often you might find yourself in a situation where you don’t want to be in contact with the person anymore on Linkedin.

While blocking on Linkedin is an option for those who get onto your nerves, if you don’t want to go that far and just want to sever ties with the said person formally on Linkedin, here’s how to delete connections on Linkedin on PC and app.

How to delete connections on LinkedIn on PC?

Login to your account on Linkedin.com and follow the steps mentioned below to delete a connection on Linkedin.

Step 1: Click on the My Network option from the toolbar at the top. Then on the new page, select Connections under Manage my network from the side panel to the left.

Step 2: On the next page, you’ll see a list of your connections. Tap on the horizontal triple-dot (meatball) menu icon beside the connection you want to delete and from the dropdown list select Remove connection.

You can search the connection that you want to remove via the Search by name box at the top of the page (refer to the screenshot above).

Alternative method

If the guide above doesn’t work for you, then go the profile of the user whom you want to remove as a connection from your Linkedin account and follow the steps mentioned below.

Click on the More… button, located to the right side of the profile picture. Then from the dropdown list of options, select Remove Connection.

How to delete connections on the LinkedIn app?

Open the Linkedin app for Android or iOS and follow the steps mentioned below to remove connections.

• Tap on My Network tab from the options at the bottom.
• On the next page, tap on Manage my network at the top of the page.
• On the next page, tap on Connections.
• On the next page, you’ll see a list of your connections. Tap on the horizontal triple-dot (meatball) menu icon beside the connection you want to delete and from the options at the bottom select Remove connection.

You can also search for the connection that you want to remove by tapping on the search icon at the top of the page.
