All of the following features are available for Fitbit Charge 3 as well as Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition until it’s specified that the feature is available exclusively for the special edition.
24/7 Heart Rate

Heart Rate Zones
Heart rate zones help you judge better whether you’re in the Fat Burn, Cardio or Peak zone and use this information to enhance the value and impact of your workout.
All Day Calorie Burn
The Charge 3 tracks your calorie burn the entire day, including when you’re working out. This keeps you updated with the latest stats and keep track of your goals easily.
Battery Life
The fitness tracker offers up to seven days of battery life, but that can vary depending on the usage of the device.
Goal-based Exercises
The device offers you more than 15 exercise modes that include run, bike, swim, yoga, circuit training and more. You can set custom goals and get stats in real-time.
Automatic Exercise Recognition
The Fitbit Charge 3 recognise if you’re running, swimming or playing a sport and more and records that in the Fitbit app.
Sleep Tracking and Stages
This feature helps you improve your quality of sleep. It gives you insights on your sleep patterns — how long you’re in light, deep and REM sleep stages.
“We’ve found that 1 in 4 people get significantly more sleep on weekend than weekdays, which implies they are trying to make up for reduced sleep during the week. We can deliver insights to these users through the Fitbit app to make them aware of how this behaviour affects their well-being and suggest how to set up a sleep schedule,” said Shelten Yuen, VP of Research at Fitbit.
Swim-proofÂ
The Fitbit Charge 3 is water resistant up to 50 metres and can automatically track when you’re swimming and collect data during the exercise.
It can be worn in the pool or shower, but it’s not recommended to wear the watch in a hot bath or sauna.
