Environmental Requirements

  • The watch should be operated at temperatures between -20° to 45° Celsius (-4° to 113° Fahrenheit)

Fitbit Charge 3 Features

All of the following features are available for Fitbit Charge 3 as well as Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition until it’s specified that the feature is available exclusively for the special edition.

24/7 Heart Rate

Track your calorie burn, optimise workouts and uncover health trends using the 24/7 heart rate monitoring with the new Fitbit Charge 3 and Charge 3 Special Edition.

Heart Rate Zones

Heart rate zones help you judge better whether you’re in the Fat Burn, Cardio or Peak zone and use this information to enhance the value and impact of your workout.

All Day Calorie Burn

The Charge 3 tracks your calorie burn the entire day, including when you’re working out. This keeps you updated with the latest stats and keep track of your goals easily.

Battery Life

The fitness tracker offers up to seven days of battery life, but that can vary depending on the usage of the device.

Goal-based Exercises

The device offers you more than 15 exercise modes that include run, bike, swim, yoga, circuit training and more. You can set custom goals and get stats in real-time.

Automatic Exercise Recognition

The Fitbit Charge 3 recognise if you’re running, swimming or playing a sport and more and records that in the Fitbit app.

Sleep Tracking and Stages

This feature helps you improve your quality of sleep. It gives you insights on your sleep patterns — how long you’re in light, deep and REM sleep stages.

“We’ve found that 1 in 4 people get significantly more sleep on weekend than weekdays, which implies they are trying to make up for reduced sleep during the week. We can deliver insights to these users through the Fitbit app to make them aware of how this behaviour affects their well-being and suggest how to set up a sleep schedule,” said Shelten Yuen, VP of Research at Fitbit.

The Fitbit Charge 3 is water resistant up to 50 metres and can automatically track when you’re swimming and collect data during the exercise.

It can be worn in the pool or shower, but it’s not recommended to wear the watch in a hot bath or sauna.

Fitbit Today

The daily on-screen dashboard gives you a reality check on your health and activity with real-time stats.

Apps like Weather and Calendar (not released yet) are available directly via the Fitbit Charge 3.

App Dashboard

Using the Fitbit mobile app dashboard, you can set goals and track progress — getting a better picture of your health and fitness.

The smartwatch gives you calendar alerts, text notifications and quick replies when your phone is nearby. These features aren’t available on all compatible devices, and quick replies feature is only available for Android.

Real-Time Pace and Distance

The Charge 3 can be connected with your phone’s GPS, using which you can see your pace and distance covered during outdoor runs or rides.

Durable, Lightweight Design

The device is built using an aerospace-grade aluminium, a smooth-flush case and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 — making the Charge 3 comfortable and durable.

Fitbit Pay (Only for Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition)

You can add your cards to the Fitbit app and make payments easily using your Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition device using NFC pay.

Accessories and Clock Faces

The Charge 3 comes with an array of accessories including different kinds of bands and unique clock faces to fit different styles.

Wireless Sync

The Fitbit Charge 3 can be synced with more than 200 iOS, Android and Windows devices using Bluetooth LE wireless technology. Windows compatibility is currently unavailable.

Female Health

Coupled with the Fitbit app, Charge 3 can track and provide information regarding periods, record symptoms, get a predicted ovulation calendar and more.

Smart, Sharp Touchscreen

The backlit touchscreen display in the Fitbit Charge 3 automatically adjusts to ambient lighting conditions — making it easier to see stats and notifications 24/7.

Guided Breathing Sessions

Using this feature on the Charge 3, you can also get better breathing suggestions with personalised guided breathing sessions based on your heart rate.
