While it’s extremely important in Minecraft to build the right shelters and tools, these activities cause your hunger saturation to go down, which means your character’s ability to heal themselves is lessened.Â
To counter this, you will have to hunt or grow your food. In this article, we’re talking about how you can make bread in Minecraft.

Bread in Minecraft
Minecraft bread is very similar to its real-life counterparts. Eating one loaf of bread will restore five hunger and six hunger saturation. Bread can also be used to breed villagers. Each villager requires three pieces of bread to become willing.
Additionally, placing bread into compost has an 85% chance of raising the compost level by one. Keep in mind that it’s more efficient to compost wheat, though, instead of bread.Â
Besides crafting, bread can also be found with novice level farmers who sell six bread for one emerald. In the Java edition, they only have a 40% chance of offering this trade. Additionally, you can find bread in chests in dungeons, strongholds and villages.Â
Crafting bread
To craft bread, you’re going to need three wheat. The best way to get wheat is to farm it using seeds, hay bale and bone meal (optional to speed up plant growth). Alternatively, you can also find wheat in villages.
Once you have the required amount of raw materials, follow these steps. Remember that since crafting bread requires a 3 x 3 crafting grid, you need a crafting table at the ready.
Step 1: Walk up to your crafting table and right-click to interact.

Step 2:Â Place three wheat in the exact pattern below and move the crafted bread to your inventory.

You can now enjoy yourselves a nice, blocky loaf of bread whenever you’re hungry. Remember that bread is stackable, going as high as 64 bread in one inventory slot.Â
