How to open Microsoft Teams in minimized mode?

If you are using the Microsoft Teams windows app and want it to keep running in the background, then follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open the Microsoft teams application on your desktop and then click on the Menu (triple horizontal dots) button.

Step 2: In the drop-down menu, click on the Settings option.

Step 3: In the settings, usually it opens in General settings, if not then click on the General option and then check-mark the option Open application in the background. It will allow Microsoft Teams to run in the background even if you close the window.

How to close the minimized Microsoft Teams app?

If you want to know how to close the minimized Microsoft Teams app, then follow the steps below:

Step 1: Click on the System tray (Arrowhead) icon to open the system tray.

Step 2: In the system tray, right-click on the Microsft Teams icon.

Step 3: When you right-click on the Microsft Teams icon it will reopen the Teams window with the pop-up menu above the Teams icon. Click on the Quit option to completely close the app.
