Although Chromecast is really powerful, like any other piece of technology, it too can face issues while streaming media. The minimalistic user interface running on it makes debugging the problem a little too tedious.
So, what do you do if the audio is lagging while you stream your favourite TV shows or you can’t control your Chromecast with your smartphone? Well, the answer is simple, you just reboot your Chromecast by following either of the methods below.

Reboot Chromecast by disconnecting it from the power supply
In most cases, you will be able to reboot your Chromecast using Google Home, but if your Chromecast is unresponsive and you cannot control it using the app, you can unplug the device from the power source and connect it again to reboot.
Removing the Chromecast from the HDMI port does not reboot the device, and you have to unplug it from the power source to initiate a reboot.
