If you have not been living under a rock and use social media platforms regularly, then you might have heard of one of the biggest social media platforms of current times, Instagram.
Instagram, along with being a social platform used for sharing daily posts and other content, is also equivalent in terms of messaging and socialising as WhatsApp, Telegram and other online messaging apps.

How to reply to a message on Instagram app?
Instagram as a messaging app offers the feature to directly reply to messages you get in your DMs (Direct Messages). If you have the current updated version of the app, you can find the Instagram DM inbox on the top right corner of the bar.
The DM chat box feature of Instagram appears in a messaging icon in the top right corner of the bar, where you can reply directly to the messages you get on the app.
Follow the steps mentioned below to reply to the messages you get on Instagram directly:
- Open the Instagram app and tap on the DM icon in the top right. Alternatively, you can swipe left on your feed.
- Tap on the DM of the person you’re having a conversation with or want to send a message.
- Swipe right on the message you want to reply to. Alternatively, you can press and hold the message and then tap Reply.
- Now type your reply and hit Send.
How to reply to a message on Instagram from your PC?
Replying to your Instagram DMs on your PC requires the click of a few more buttons than replying to your Instagram DMs on your phone.
Follow the steps mentioned below to reply to Instagram DMs on your PC:
Step 1: Log in to Instagram on your browser and click the Instagram DM icon.
Step 2: Click on a chat, hover over the message you want to reply to and click the reply icon.
Step 3: Now type out your message and click Send to send the message.
How to reply to a message on Instagram?
You can click the cross icon in the message prompt to dismiss the message from your reply if you want.
