Whatsapp groups allow users to stay connected with friends, family, and colleagues. However, as these groups grow larger, it can become increasingly challenging to ensure that everyone sees important messages. Fortunately, Whatsapp provides a convenient feature allowing you to tag group members, ensuring your message gets the attention it deserves.

What does tagging mean on WhatsApp?

Tagging is a handy tool on Whatsapp that lets you mention a particular person or group in a message so they’re more likely to notice and reply. When you tag someone, they get a notification, even if they’ve muted the chat. This is handy to ensure someone sees a message or needs to talk directly to someone in a group chat.
