LinkedIn is now available in Hindi

Linkedin has rolled out support for Hindi to cater to its second-largest market, India, which accounts for over 10% of the Linkedin user base with over 82 million active users.

With the launch of Hindi, Linkedin now supports 25 languages globally. The company expects to support over 600 million Hindi speakers globally and drive up sign-ups from the country.

Currently, people can access their feed, profile, jobs, messaging, and create content in Hindi on the website and Android and iOS apps. In the coming weeks, job opportunities for Hindi speaking professionals across industries, including government jobs, will be included in the platform.

More Hindi publishers and creators are also expected to join the platform to boost engagement. the company announced on Thursday.

To access Linkedin in Hindi, click on the Me icon, then select Settings and Privacy > Account Preferences > Site Preferences and then click on Change next to Language and select Hindi from the dropdown list.

“With the launch of Hindi, now more members and customers can unlock greater value from the platform through content, jobs, and networking, and express themselves in a language that they feel comfortable in. We are strengthening our vision to create economic opportunity for ‘every’ member of the workforce and taking down language barriers for Hindi speakers across the world,” said Ashutosh Gupta, India Country Manager, LinkedIn.
