100 Nothing Phone (1) units will be auctioned at StockX on June 21 and 22

Nothing has partnered with StockX to sell the first 100 units of the upcoming Nothing Phone (1) in a bidding war as a DropX exclusive release. The phones will be numbered one to 100 and feature the final bidding amount as the serial number.

The auction begins at 9:00 AM ET on June 21 and will be open until 8:59 AM ET on June 23. Participants need to have a StockX account to bid on the new phones. The bidding will be open worldwide, except for people in Mexico and South Korea.

Nothing seems to be following the same release pattern as its first product, the ear (1) earbuds which were also auctioned off on StockX before release. The phone also has actively been in the news, with one spec leaking after the other until the company decided to reveal the phone’s design itself.

While we don’t know the phone’s internals yet, except that it’ll have a Qualcomm chip, we’re expecting either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 paired with at least 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

A 4500mAh battery powers everything, and we’re expecting Phone (1) to come with a triple camera setup, a 50MP primary shooter (with OIS support), an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is a 32MP punch-hole placed in the top centre of the display.

The phone features an OLED 6.55-inch display running at 1080 x 2400 resolution. There’s no word on the refresh rate yet, but a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate screen is possible, considering the number of devices currently with high refresh rate screens.

The phone will be launched during Nothing’s keynote event on July 12. We’re expecting it to be priced at around €500.
