How to download pictures from Pinterest?

Pinterest is one of the least talked about social media platform despite having a huge user base. The platform revolves around sharing information through pictures and can be highly addictive too.

You can bookmark or save images for later reference in something called boards. These boards can be public or private and can be shared with others. However, they only work on the Pinterest site and app, which means you always need an internet connection to access them.

In this article, we’re taking a look at how you can download images from Pinterest.

How to download images on the Pinterest app?

Downloading images on the Pinterest app is rather easy. Just follow these steps.

  • Open an image that you’d want to download and tap on the three vertical dots in the top right.
  • Tap on Download Image, and the image will be downloaded to your phone’s gallery.

The steps for download an image on the Android and iOS app are the same. However, make sure that your Pinterest app has permission to access the iOS gallery before downloading.

How to download Pinterest images on PC?

Like on the app, you can also download Pinterest images on PC using the Download Image option.

Step 1: Open the Pinterest image you want to download. Click on the three horizontal dots to the left of the image.

Step 2: Click the Download Image link and the image will be downloaded.

How to download a Pinterest board?

Downloading images one at a time can be a slow process, especially if you have a lot of them. If you’re looking to download an entire Pinterest board, you’re going to have to use an extension.

There are a lot of good image downloading extensions on the Chrome App store such as Image Downloader or Image Download Center. For the purpose of this article, we’ll be using Image Downloader.

Step 1: Head over to this page and click the Add to Chrome button to download the Image Downloader extension and add it to your browser.

Step 2: Now open your board and click on the Image Downloader icon in the toolbar.

Step 3: Wait for the extension to detect all the images on the page. Once it has, you can select which images to download by clicking each individual image.

Step 4: Once you’re done selecting images, click on the green Download images button in the top left to download all images at once.
