Realme 9i has launched in the Indian market at INR 13,999. Pre-orders start on January 22 on Flipkart and Realme.com.
The new Realme entry features a Snapdragon 680, up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB UFS2.1 storage. The phone also gets a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main shooter, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP black and white camera. Apart from this, there’s a 16MP punch hole selfie camera. It’s powered by a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging.
Pricing and availability
The Realme 9i will be available on Realme.com and Flipkart. There’s an early sale starting 12 PM IST on January 22 and the first sale starting 12 PM IST on January 25. The variants on sale and their pricing are as follows.

Display
The phone gets a 6.6-inch 1080 x 2240 FHD+ display that has five different refresh rate levels coming in at 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz. This should give a fairly smooth experience, especially considering the rest of the device isn’t exactly powerful enough to use a lot more than 90Hz on the refresh rate front anyway.
Performance and OS
You get a Snapdragon 680 which is an octa-core SoC based on a 6nm process. The SoC can go as high as 2.4GHz and comes paired with the Adreno 610 GPU.
There’s either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM (dynamically expandable up to 11GB) on offer here paired with either 64 or 126GB UFS 2,1 storage. Additionally, the phone also gets a dedicated microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 1TB.Â
In terms of software, the device runs on Realme’s in-house Realme UI 2.0 which is based on Android 11.
Camera
The phone has three cameras on the rear as follows:
- 50MP main camera f/1.8
- 2MP Macro lens f/2.4
- 2MP Black and White lens f/2.1
The front gets a 16MP punch hole camera.
Battery and Charging
The Realme 9i is powered by a 5000mAh battery. However, Realme notes that the minimum battery capacity is 4880mAh. In terms of charging, users will get 33W Dart Charging, with a compatible charger in the box.
