Showbox is an online streaming application where you can see the latest movies and TV series. It was initially developed for Android devices only, and it does not require a login.

Sometimes, the Showbox app shows you some basic errors like “Connection error”. Dive into this article to know how you can fix the Showbox connection error.

Check your Internet connection

One of the common reasons for getting the connection error is unstable or no internet connection.

Check if your internet is working fine or not on the device you are using and on the other devices. If the internet is not working, try to restart or reboot your router once and then check again if the internet is accessible or not.

Update your showbox application

An older version of the application can also give rise to the connection error.

Go to the play store or app store on your device and update your Showbox app. After the update is successfully installed, try running the application again.

Clear app data and cache

You can try clearing the app data and cache of the Showbox app by following the given steps.

  • Go inside the App list and find and open the Showbox app.
  • Tap on the Storage usage.
  • Tap on Clear data and Clear cache.

Use a VPN

You can also use VPN to connect to the Internet. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, which allocates you a new IP Address, hiding your original IP Address. If the error is happening because of the servers, it can be resolved using VPN.
