How to use YH?

YH is used to give affirmation in face-to-face conversation as well as online and text conversations.

Commonly, it is used in answering a yes or no question or while agreeing with someone in a discussion. In addition, YH can be used independently to reply in assertion or as a part of a longer sentence to give more background.

Person 1Are you going to attend the concert tomorrow?
Person 2YH!

In the above example, YH is used to answer a yes or no question. Acronym YH instead of Yeah or Yes is used to tell Person 1 that they will attend the concert without elaborating on the situation using more words or sentences.

Person 1John seems heartbroken after he lost the match against Sam.
Person 2Yh, it was a tough loss. I will speak to him once I reach home.

In the second example, Yh is used to agree with Person 1’s statement. After affirmation with YH, Person 2 elaborates by adding their thoughts.
