Outlook has been around to keep a tab on your emails, reminders and contacts as a part of the Office suite for decades. If you’ve Outlook pre-installed on your computer and wonder which version of the app you’re running, you’ve come to the right place as here we discuss how to find the Outlook version on your PC.
If you’re using a web version of the Outlook app, you don’t need to look for versions as that’s going to be the latest that Microsoft has to offer and since it’s not installed on your PC, it won’t show the version details.
However, if you’re working on Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2019 or Outlook as part of your Microsoft 365 subscription (previously Office 365), follow the steps mentioned below to know the version of your Outlook installation.

Checking the version of Outlook
Open the Outlook app on your computer and follow the steps mentioned below to check what version of Outlook you’ve installed.
Step 1: Click on File on the top-left of the toolbar. (Mac users can click on the Outlook option to the left of the File tab on their installation to check the Outlook version they’ve installed.)

Step 2: Then on the next page, click on the Office Account option on the sidebar to the left. On this page you’ll be able to see the version of Outlook (our installation appears as Subscription Product Microsoft 365) and build number. You can click on About Outlook to learn more details about what version of Outlook you run.

If your Outlook installation is running as part of the Microsoft 365 suite, you’ll also see who the product belongs to and the connected services, such as OneDrive, if any.
Step 3: The About Outlook tab will show the version of Outlook at the top, followed by its License ID and Session ID. You’ll also see the terms of the license below.

This page will also show whether you’re running a 32-bit version of Outlook or 64-bit.
