This feature initially previewed in a beta version (23.25.10.75), is designed to help users manage their conversations more efficiently. By enabling filters, users can quickly sort their charts into categories such as unread messages, personal chats, and group conversations, reports WABetaInfo.
This functionality aims to make it easier for users to locate and access specific messages based on their preferences.
The official update log highlights several other enhancements in addition to chat filtering. One notable improvement is the addition of audio support for screen sharing during video calls. This feature enhances the interactive experiences, allowing users to share and discuss content more effectively during calls.
The update also includes a redesigned interface featuring new icons and illustrations that give the app a refreshed look.
Furthermore, a passkey feature has been introduced, offering users an additional method for securely accessing their WhatsApp accounts.
While the chat filtering feature is not widely available, WhatsApp notes that the rollout may be gradual. Some users might not see the new feature immediately but should expect it to become accessible soon.
