WhatsApp has launched an update for iOS users identified by build number 24.10.74, introducing chat filtering functionality, audio support for screen sharing, a revamped interface, and passkey support to the platform for security.

This feature initially previewed in a beta version (23.25.10.75), is designed to help users manage their conversations more efficiently. By enabling filters, users can quickly sort their charts into categories such as unread messages, personal chats, and group conversations, reports WABetaInfo.

This functionality aims to make it easier for users to locate and access specific messages based on their preferences.

The official update log highlights several other enhancements in addition to chat filtering. One notable improvement is the addition of audio support for screen sharing during video calls. This feature enhances the interactive experiences, allowing users to share and discuss content more effectively during calls.

The update also includes a redesigned interface featuring new icons and illustrations that give the app a refreshed look.

Furthermore, a passkey feature has been introduced, offering users an additional method for securely accessing their WhatsApp accounts.

While the chat filtering feature is not widely available, WhatsApp notes that the rollout may be gradual. Some users might not see the new feature immediately but should expect it to become accessible soon.

Users are advised to update their apps through the App Store or TestFlight app to ensure the latest features and improvements.

A couple of days ago, it was reported that WhatsApp’s new beta update brings locked chats to linked devices.

WhatsApp is currently beta-testing a feature enabling users to manage channels directly from their linked devices.

Recent reports have surfaced regarding WhatsApp’s development of a feature that temporarily limits accounts’ messaging capabilities.

Furthermore, in March, Meta announced plans for interoperability between WhatsApp and Messenger, allowing select third-party messaging services to integrate with its platform.
