There are quite a few battle royale games you can play on your Android or iOS smartphone at the moment but few of them are as well polished as Free Fire. It’s one of the best PUBG Mobile alternatives available right now.
Besides, ever since PUBG Mobile got banned in several countries including India, a nation that had a pretty significant and a very dedicated player base for the game, Free Fire has skyrocketed in popularity.
The battle royale-style gameplay involves matches that last 10-15 minutes in length where up to 50 players fight it out on the maps the game has to offer to be the last man standing.
As you’d expect with any popular title, the game has quite a few social features that help people connect with their friends, team up into something called Guilds and play matches together.
In fact, the game automatically imports players from your connected social media account and adds them to your friend list so you don’t have to go do the extra effort of looking for your friends and adding them one by one.
However, if you’re trying to add a new player as a friend, one who aren’t exactly friends with you on your social media, you can go ahead and add them manually.
In this article, we’re going to talk about how you can add friends to your Free Fire account.

Adding Friends in Free Fire
Adding friends in Free Fire is a pretty straightforward process as you’d expect. Here’s how.
Step 1: Open Free Fire and tap on the Friends icon in the top-right.
Step 2: In the Friends menu, tap on the Add option.
Step 3: Type in your friend’s username and tap the refresh button.
Step 4: You’ll see all the profiles that match the nickname you just typed. Just tap on the plus icon in front of the profile. Once your friend accepts your request, you will be able to see them on your friend list.
Also, keep in mind that there’s only a limited number of people you can have in your friend list in Free Fire. So if you run into an issue saying your friend list is full, try removing any inactive friends that you might have to make room for new friends.
