In this article, we will help you set up storage sense to never run out of space on your machine because of the junk files it has hoarded over the years.

Cleaning recycle bin automatically with storage sense 

Setting up storage sense on Windows is as easy as it gets. All you have to do is click a few buttons, and your recycle bin will automatically flush out all the trash to free up system storage.

Even though clearing your recycle bin can save a lot of storage space, doing this will permanently remove the files from your system and recovering them thereafter can get a little tedious.

To set up storage sense on your system follow the steps given below

Step 1: Click on the Windows icon on your taskbar and click on the Settings icon in the bottom left corner.

Step 2: Click on System in the new window

Step 3: Click on Storage in the system menu

Step 4: Toggle the button below Storage to turn on storage sense

Step 4: Click on Configure Storage Sense or run it now

Step 5: Under Delete files in my recycle bin if they have been there for over and select the time after which you want your data in the recycle bin to be permanently deleted

After performing this step your recycle bin will be cleaned automatically periodically depending on the time you have selected
