Reddit is often called the front page of the internet. It amasses over 21 billion average screen views per month, from over 330 million monthly active users engaging in 130,000 communities often credited with making things viral on the internet.
However, if you made a profile on Reddit and now feel like it’s not your thing, we’ve compiled a simple guide to help you delete/deactivate your Reddit account.
Before you start the deactivation process, you should know that once a Reddit profile is deactivated, it can’t be reactivated at a later stage. Your username won’t be recycled either and so won’t be available if you decide to create another account with the same name.
Also, Reddit doesn’t delete the content posted or comments by your profile automatically upon deactivation; you’ll have to delete your posts individually before proceeding with the deletion of your Reddit account.

Step 4: Click again on Deactivate on the next prompt.
Your Reddit account will be deleted hereafter, and you’ll be redirected to the login page. You won’t be able to create a new account using the same username and won’t recover the deactivated account either.
