Image-based social network Pinterest has been around for almost a decade as it completes 10 years next January with north of 300 million active users. It was launched in January 2010 by Ben Silbermann with a primary focus on images and to some extent gifs and videos too.

Smartphones have played a crucial role in the increasing traction sites like Pinterest see as they’re readily available via apps on Android and iOS. But as is true about any touchscreen, at times we tend to accidentally tap or click on things we didn’t want to, and since pinning an image or other media on Pinterest merely takes a touch, it’s possible that you’ve pinned some things to your board that you’d want to delete.

To help you on that end, here we’ve put together a simple guide to help you delete pins on Pinterest in a few simple steps on both the Android and iOS apps.
