Cash App is a digital peer-to-peer or P2P payment platform used in the US and the UK to transfer money from one account to another in minutes. Users can also trade stocks and cryptocurrency for as little as $1. Their bank partners even issue debit cards and their website overflows with visually pleasing animations and designs.

Cash App’s reach
Cash App is currently solely used by users located in either UK or US. Hence, if you are living in the UK, you can send a digital monetary transaction to anyone living in the US as long as they have a US-based bank account. The same scenario is applicable vice-versa.
The Cash App does not work in Canada.
Nor does the Cash App work anywhere internationally other than the US and the UK. However, unlike other P2P payment apps like Zelle or Venmo, the Cash App is available in a country beyond the US.
So, even if you are crossing the border to head to either Canada or Mexico, the Cash App will not work on your device.

However, instead of Cash App, you can use other digital payment platforms to transfer money internationally, including to and from Canada. The list of alternative apps includes:

Even though the Cash App or Venmo do not support digital transactions in Canada, you may notice that their parent company (in the case of Venmo) and developer (in the case of Square) allow international monetary transactions through their platform.
PayPal bought Venmo in 2013 and they accept debit cards, credit cards, PayPal balance, and PayPal Credit as forms of online payment. Similarly, even Square Inc., the developers of the Cash App accept debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Square Gift Cards in addition to direct bank transfers.
