How to activate night mode in Twitter: PC, iOS and Android

Night mode is available on a lot of apps as well as operating systems these days as it makes the reading or viewing experience more comfortable in the dark.

Twitter has a night mode for its website, iOS app as well as the Android app. In this simple guide, we’re going to explain how to turn on or off the night mode on Twitter PC and iOS/Android apps in as few steps as possible.

How to enable/disable night mode on Twitter’s Android app?

  • Click on your profile picture located on the top-left corner of the app.
  • Look for a crescent icon at the bottom of the menu.
  • Tap on the icon to enable/disable the night mode.

You can also select the ‘Automatic at sunset’ option, which will enable night mode on your Android app as soon as it’s sunset time in your time zone.

How to activate night mode in Twitter: PC, iOS and Android

If for some reason, the crescent is unavailable on your menu (could happen if the app hasn’t been updated), you ‘ll need to take the longer router via the settings of the app.

  • Click on your profile picture located on the top-left corner of the app.
  • Tap on ‘Settings and privacy’.
  • In the new menu page, tap on ‘Display and sound’ — located below ‘General’.
  • Find and tap on the ‘Night mode’ option and select one of the three options — Off/On/Automatic at sunset.

How to enable/disable night mode on Twitter’s iOS app?

Similar to Android, there are two ways to activate/deactivate night mode on the iOS app. Note that there is no ‘Automatic at sunset’ option available for the iOS app yet.

  • Look for a crescent icon at the bottom of the menu.
  • Tap on the icon to enable/disable the night mode.

Log in to Twitter via a web browser and click on your profile picture located around the top-right side of the page.

Find ‘Night mode’ alongside a crescent icon at the bottom of the menu. Click on it to enable/disable the night mode.
