Enable percentage on Google Sheets?
Before using the percentage formulae in Google Sheets, you have to enable the percentage view in Google Sheets. To do that, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open the document on Google Sheets and click the Format tab in the menu.
Step 2: In the dropdown menu, click on Number and then click on Percent.
How to calculate percentages for a row?
If you want to calculate the percentage for a single row or multiple rows, then follow the steps below:
Step 1: The percentage formula is Part/Total. To calculate the percentage for B1 and C1 cells we will enter the formulae B1/C1 in the D1 cell.
Step 2: To apply the same percentage formula in all other rows click on the Blue dot at the bottom right corner of the cell and drag to all the rows for which you want to calculate the percentage.
Step 3: The formula will be applied to all the cells, and it will calculate the percentage for all the selected rows.
How to decrease decimal places?
To increase or decrease the decimal places in the percentage column, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select the percentage column and click on .0 (with left arrow) to decrease decimal places, and click on .00 (with right arrow) to increase decimal places.
