How to make your phone busy?

Here are five ways for iPhone and Android users to make phones busy when somebody calls

Press the lock button twice (For iPhone)

iPhone has a built-in feature to avoid calls without any hassle. When a call comes in, a simple press of the lock button can mute the call, while pressing the same button twice will reject it. If you have set up the voicemail with your provider then the iOS device will redirect the call to your voicemail, then the caller can leave a voicemail and you can continue using your phone without any interruptions. However, if you haven’t set up the voicemail then it will reject the call and give the caller the rejected tone.

Enable the Airplane mode

Enabling Airplane mode works well to make your phone busy when somebody calls. Here’s how to enable it on iPhone and Android:

Block the number

When you block a number, you won’t receive calls or texts from that contact. Additionally, you won’t be able to text or call them either. Blocking a number is a way to make it seem like your line is busy. If someone with a blocked number calls you, they’ll hear the dead tone right away.

Enable Do Not Disturb

Enabling the do not disturb will not give the caller the busy tone but you won’t see any notifications of the calls. You can customise the settings to allow calls from the contacts you select. Here’s how to enable it on iPhone and Android:
