With some socialisation available on the app, you can expect there to be restrictions for users to place on other users. hence, you can block someone on Apple Music as well if you don’t want them to view your playlist anymore.

What unblocking entails on Apple Music?

Whatever your reason for blocking someone on Apple Music, they will not be able to see your profile or find your music playlists unless you unblock them. However, any of your previously shared playlists will remain a part of their library if they have added the same.

Remember that Apple Music does not inform the user if they have been blocked or unblocked. However, you will have to request to follow them back as both parties will be removed from each other’s follower-following list.

You can unblock someone on Apple Music on your iPhone by following the two methods given below:

The long way

  • Open Apple Music and tap on Listen Now option at the bottom-left corner of your home page
  • Tap on your profile icon and head to the Follower or Following section.
  • Tap on the profile of the person that you want to unblock.
  • Head to their profile and tap on the three horizontal dots.
  • From the given options, tap on Unblock to unblock them.

You will have to request to follow them again and there is a separate option for that next to block/unblock.

The short way

You can ask them to share their profile link which can help you navigate to their profile and unblock them. You can also search for their Apple Music username in the search bar if you can recall their username. Currently, you cannot find a list of all the people that you have blocked on Apple Music in the app settings yet.
