Why are Jabra earbuds not charging?

  • Incompatible power brick.
  • Damaged USB cable.
  • Earbuds not placed properly.
  • Accumulated dust and debris on the charging point and port.

How to fix the issue?

Here are five fixes that might help you fix the issue:

Check the USB cable for damage

Begin by examining the charging cable for visible signs of damage, like worn-out wires or bent connectors. If you notice any damage to the cable, attempt using another charging cable suitable for your Jabra earbuds. Also, make sure that the power outlet or source you’re using is functioning properly by connecting another device to it and checking if it charges correctly.

Check your power brick compatibility

Take a look at the charger you’re using for your Jabra earbuds. Make sure it matches the specifications Jabra advised. Using a charger that doesn’t match can cause problems with charging. If you’re unsure, check your Jabra user manual for the recommended power details.

Clean the charging pins and port

Over time, dust, lint, or debris can accumulate in the charging port of your earbuds, preventing them from properly connecting with the charging cable. Use a can of compressed air or a soft brush to clean out any debris from the charging port gently. Additionally, clean the charging pins on the earbuds and the charging case using a dry, soft cloth to ensure a good connection.

Place the buds properly in the charging case

When putting your earbuds into the charging case, ensure they’re positioned properly. Line up the charging pins on the earbuds with the matching pins in the case. Refer to your user manual for instructions on how to do this.

Reset charging case

Some Jabra models allow you to reset the charging case. Refer to your model’s user manual for specific instructions, which typically involve leaving the lid open while plugged in.
