Several Zoom users reported an error on the video conferencing platform over the past weeks, which disabled cloud recordings playback or downloading. On Monday, Zoom announced that the issue had been resolved.
Zoom users were unable to playback or download cloud recordings on the Zoom website, and the company started investigating the issue on Sunday and provided their updates on their service status page titled, “A subset of users are unable to playback or download cloud recordings’.
They identified the issue that caused the cloud recordings playback and download error and resolved it within a few hours.
Following is a reproduction of Zoom’s updates on the incident and its fix, verbatim.
May 23, 2021- 14:41 PDT: We are investigating increased errors while playing back and downloading recordings. We will provide updates as we have them.
May 23, 2021 – 16:34 PDT: We have identified the issue causing a subset of users to be unable to playback or download cloud recordings. We will continue to provide updates as we have them.
May 24, 2021 – 00:48 PDT: We have resolved the issue causing users to unable to playback or download cloud recordings on the web portal. We will continue to monitor and provide updates as we have them.
May 24, 2021 – 01:36 PDT: This incident has been resolved.
