Why is my Bereal profile picture not saving? 7 Fixes

Creating a new social media platform now requires thinking outside the box as social media giants like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter already have a hold of quite a large user base. BeReal is an app that’s been gaining popularity recently with a unique way of posting what you’re up to every day.

However, while it may be getting popular, it isn’t immune to random bugs and glitches. In this article, we’re talking about why your BeReal profile picture is not saving and what you can do to fix the problem.

What causes this error?

This can actually be caused by a number of reasons that might impact the app. Some of the most common ones include:

  • The app is down.
  • Internet connectivity issues.
  • Bug/glitch in the app.
  • Corrupt cache or app data.

How to fix this?

Here are seven fixes you can try out.

Check your internet

Now’s also a good time to check whether or not you have an active internet connection. If you’re on WiFi, make sure you’ve got an active link and that there are no signal issues. On cellular data, ensure that it’s enabled and that you’re getting good network coverage.

Restarting your router can help get rid of a bunch of seemingly random internet and connectivity issues that may be hindering your connection to BeReal’s servers.

Try again

Sometimes, just trying the process again can work out. Here’s how to change your profile picture on the app.

Why is my Bereal profile picture not saving? 7 Fixes
  • Open the app and tap on your profile picture in the top right.
  • Tap Edit my profile.

  • Scroll down and tap Log out.

Now restart the app and log in again to see if that fixes the problem.

Update the app

Another reason for your profile picture not updating could simply be because of an outdated app version. Update the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store depending on your device to see if that helps.

Reinstall the app

If updating didn’t help, delete the app from your phone and head over to your respective app store to download it again. Reinstalling often clears out any corrupt app files that may be hampering functionality and helps fix bugs like this.
