BluSmart, an all-electric ride-hailing mobility service, has opened its Electric Vehicle (EV) charging service to a wider audience and launched a new app to locate nearby EV charging stations on Monday.

The company has 50 EV charging hubs, including open and underground charging facilities, with over 5,000 EV charging stations (including fast and slow stations) powered by green sources, covering an area of over 1.8 million sq. ft. The hubs are in key metropolitan areas such as malls, metro stations, and corporate parks in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru.

“India is undergoing an e-mobility transition, and BluSmart’s deep network of world-class infrastructure and well-equipped charging hubs will contribute to the rapid adoption and ease of access to charging stations,” said Tushar Garg, the Co-Founder and CEO of BluSmart Charge.

BluSmart’s new app, BluSmart Charge, allows users to find nearby chargers that fit their vehicle type. It recommends applicable charging connectors and provides real-time status updates on the availability of charging stations.

The mobile app aims to improve users’ safety due to its digitised entry and exit process at BluSmart’s charging stations. The app incorporates a payment process for both public users and fleet operators while allowing operators to track and monitor payments and charging sessions on the dashboard. The BluSmart Charge app is available on the Play Store for Android users and the App Store for iOS users.

Garg said, “We believe that the ‘BluSmart Charge’ App will be a game-changer in the EV industry, offering all EV users a seamless and hassle-free charging experience. As we expand our footprint, the magnitude and density of the EV charging infrastructure are crucial to making charging easily available.” The mobility service, with the launch of its new app, promises to make EV charging “Accessible, Reliable, and Convenient” for all.

BluSmart believes it has taken a huge step forward in building long-term solutions for e-mobility in Indian megacities. The company, which has over 7,500 EV fleets, the largest in South Asia, has completed over 14.9 million emission-free trips. BluSmart is a leading e-mobility service currently pushing for EV adoption nationwide.
