Gmail is a cloud-based mail delivery service owned by Google. In some instances, users are required to enter their phone numbers while registering on Google, like to enable SMS-based 2FA or for recovery if you forget your account’s password. You might need to change phone numbers in case you’re shifting cities, countries or shifting to another telecom provider.
Gmail allows you to change the number — on the app as well as on the web. In this article, we will explain how you can change the phone number in Gmail.
