Powerpoint is a great way to make and configure presentations for business or personal purposes. Powerpoint comes as a part of Microsoft Office suite and can be bought for an amount. It is one of the most widely used slide software in the world.

Here are the steps to change the slide size in Powerpoint.

Step 3: Here, you will see three options — Standard (4:3), Widescreen (16:9) and Custom Slide Size. You can select either of these options as per your requirement.   • Ensure Fit: Use this option when you want to change your slide to a smaller resolution. This option will ensure that you can see the contents of the slide but in a small view.
  • Maximise: Use this option when you want to extend the slide resolution. Sometimes, this will lead to the content being cut along the edges, and you won’t be able to view all of the contents.

How to create a custom slide size in Powerpoint?

You can also create your custom slide size in Powerpoint. Here are the steps to so.

Let us look at some of these options. You can enter the size in centimetres (cm), pixels (px) or inches (in). Use the appropriate abbreviation while mentioning the numbers.   • Minimum: 1 in, 2.54 cm, 120 px.
  • Maximum: 56 in, 142.24 cm, 720 px.

Step 4: You can choose from where you want the slide to be numbered. How to set the default slide size?

If you want to work on a particular slide size, then you need to set it as default. Here are the steps of how you can set a default slide size. (By default, you will get 16:9 slide size).

Step 1: After that, go to Design > Slide Size > Custom Slide Size. Here, change the slide as per your wish.
