Twitter allows users on the Android and iOS smartphone apps to save the draft of a tweet, retweet with comment or reply to a tweet by tapping on the cancel button in the compose window. Any tweets or replies that aren’t sent due to an error in the internet connection are also saved in the Twitter drafts.
You can edit these drafts later and post or reply. You can also delete the draft if it’s not of use anymore.
If you remember saving a draft on Twitter and need to access it again but can’t seem to find it, here we’re going to guide you through two methods of finding your drafts on the Twitter app for Android and iOS.
Before you go ahead with the guide, here are a few things you should know about drafts on Twitter.
- Twitter drafts are also available on Android and iOS apps and can’t be accessed via the website on PC.
- You should have at least one draft saved to see the “drafts” option.
- Your Twitter drafts will be deleted if you log out of your account on the app or uninstall the app. They can’t be restored.

How to find drafts on Twitter via the compose button?
Open the Twitter app on your iOS or Android device and follow the steps mentioned below to find your drafts.
- Tap on the compose button at the bottom right of your homepage timeline or profile page.
- On the compose page, tap on the Drafts option at the top-right (to the left of the Tweet button). As mentioned above, you’ll only see this button if you’ve any drafts saved.
- On the next page, you’ll find a list of all your Twitter drafts saved in chronological order. Tap on anyone you want to edit.

How to find drafts on Twitter via user profile?
Open the Twitter app on your Android device and follow the steps mentioned below to find your drafts.
- Tap on the triple-horizontal bars (hamburger) icon at the top-left of your app.
- On the side panel window, either tap on your profile picture at the top or Profile option.
- On your profile page, tap on the overflow (triple-vertical dots) icon.
- From the dropdown list, tap on Drafts option.
- On the next page, you’ll find a list of all your Twitter drafts saved in chronological order. Tap on anyone you want to edit.

How to delete Twitter drafts on Android and iOS?
On Android: If you want to delete a Twitter draft from the list on Android, long-press on the draft and then select Delete draft option on the pop-up box.
On iOS: To delete a Twitter draft on iOS, tap on the Edit button at the top-right of the draft list screen, select the drafts you want to delete and then tap on the Delete button at the bottom-right of the screen.
You can also tap on the Select all option at the bottom-left of the screen to select all of the Twitter drafts and delete them.
