Steps to create roles in your Discord server
Step 1: Launch the Discord app on your computer or open the web version in your browser.
Step 2: Open the Discord server and click on the server name. It’s located on the top left-hand side of your Discord interface.

Step 3: In the dropdown menu, click on the Server Settings option.

Step 4: Click on the Roles option in the sidebar and then on the right side click on the Create Role button. Also, on this page there is a list of all the roles available on your server.

Step 5: In the new role page, click on the Display tab, which usually opens by default. Add the name, colour and image for the new role.

Step 6: There are various other settings available in the Permissions tab, you can set different permissions for this role, you can add links and also manage the members from these settings.

Step 7: After you are done editing the permissions, click on the Save Changes button or you can click on the View Server As Role button to test how it will look like. This option is available at the bottom of the Display tab.
