Clash of Clans is one of the most popular real-time strategy and base-building games to ever release on Android and iOS. The game is simple in terms of mechanics but gives players a lot to do. However, with game upgrades and resource collection taking an increasing amount of time as you progress further, some players might be looking for a second account to experiment with other things in the meantime.
In this article, we’re talking about how to switch Clash of Clans accounts to play with a second one.

Changing Clash of Clans accounts
There are two different ways you can change Clash of Clans accounts on your phone. Depending on whether you use Android or iOS, you can choose either of these options:
- Using Supercell ID
- Using Google Play Games
Using Supercell ID
If you’re playing on iOS, using a Supercell ID to change your account is the only option you have, although the method works on Android as well. Here’s what you need to do.
Step 1: Open Clash of Clans and tap on the settings icon in the bottom right.
Step 2: If you haven’t connected your Supercell ID already, tap the Disconnected button and the game will take you through the process of creating a Supercell account. Otherwise, skip to step three.
Step 3: Once in the Supercell ID settings, tap the settings gear icon again.
Step 4: Scroll down in the Settings tab and tap the Switch account option.
Step 5: Tap Log in to Supercell ID and add your second Supercell ID to the game.
Now you can switch all logged-in Supercell accounts with ease.
Using Google Play Games
Google Play Games is an Android-only app that’s used to manage your Play Games account and all active games using that ID. Note that it’s different from Google’s Play Store, which is the main Android app store used to download apps and games.
You can download the Google Play Games app for Android here. Once you have the app downloaded, follow these steps to switch accounts.
- Open the Play Games app and tap the three vertical dots in the top right.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down and under the Your data section, tap Change account for games.
- Tap the Change button in front of Clash of Clans to change the Google account used in the game.
