Next, we head to Trustpilot where Modlily has a solid 4/5 score based on more than five thousand reviews. Out of these, about 61% are 5-star while 25% are 1-star reviews.
The positive reviews are all good, praising the timely delivery, quality of support, ease of package tracking, and clothing styles.
The negative reviews were about bad customer service, not receiving the item, dissatisfaction with the product, and false advertising. Some customers have also reported that they had to pay a sum to refund the item, which is unacceptable.
However, we do notice that the company has replied to most 1-star reviews, as you can see in the screenshot below:

Next, we head to Sitejabber, and notice one more 4/5 stars based on 4,700 reviews. The positive reviews were to praise the company’s customer service and quality.
The negative reviews also complained about slow refunds, poor quality, false advertisement, delays in receiving the orders, and unhelpful customer service.
The above two websites offer no clue as to whether Modlily is a legit website or a scam, as a similar negative reviews and positive reviews can be found for other e-commerce platforms as well.
However, some platforms, such as Scamadvisor give an extremely low score to Modlily. Scamadvisor gave a trust score of only 1/100 to Modlily. However, the user ratings are strong, with 4/5 stars based on about a thousand reviews.

The positive highlights of Modlily on Scamadvisor are many, including high web traffic, positive reviews by the customers, no malware on the website, and a valid SSL certificate.
However, the reasons for such a low score, as given by Scamadvisor are as follows:
- The owner’s identity is hidden on WHOIS.
- The website is located in China.
Based on our research, we conclude that Modlily is a legitimate platform.
However, this does not mean that you should readily do anything on the platform. Always go for items with best user reviews and follow the online best practices while entering your financial details. Check the size and return policy beforehand to avoid any hassles later.
If you’re looking for high-quality items, avoid Modlily and go for other online stores. However, if you’re looking for inexpensive clothes, maybe you can try Modlily.
