In a bid to boost user experience on Messenger and make it easier for people to access its payments feature, Facebook brings new chat themes, a quick reply bar, QR codes and payment links to Messenger.
The quick reply feature is coming to media viewer on Messenger. It will make it easier for people to comment on a photo shared in a message thread without going back to the main thread. Exiting the full-screen media viewer will take the consumer back to the chat.
New chat themes aren’t only coming to Messenger but also Instagram. One of them celebrates Olivia Rodrigo’s new album Sour’s launch featuring Olivia’s signature face stickers. Another one comes for F9 from the Fast and Furious franchise. The third one is to celebrate World Oceans Day.

QR codes and payment links are also coming to Messenger in USA, which will enable people to send and receive money via Facebook Pay, even if they’re not connected to Facebook.

“We’re excited to share three new messaging features that will boost your Messenger experience. We’ve added new chat themes to help personalize and enhance your conversations and a quick reply bar that makes it easier to respond to the content shared by your friends and family. You’ll also find QR codes and payment links in Messenger that enable you to send and receive money from anyone, even if you’re not Facebook friends,” Facebook announced.
