Nord Security, the force behind NordVPN, has unveiled its latest endeavour — an eSIM named Saily scheduled to launch this quarter.
The eSIM industry is a multi-billion dollar one, and many players want to enter this market. These sim cards are also the favourite of globetrotters and individuals engaged in remote work. By mitigating roaming charges and providing the ability to connect to the internet from any corner of the world, eSIMs have become an indispensable tool.
“With travel and remote work on the rise, an eSIM app is now more crucial than ever. Here at Nord Security, we believe simple and affordable technology is paramount. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce Saily. This eSIM app saves you time and money and even helps you avoid unpleasant situations,” says Vykintas Maknickas, head of product strategy at Nord Security.
Beyond its security features, Saily aims to simplify acquiring affordable data plans by consolidating options from hundreds of countries and dozens of plans in one user-friendly interface. This convenience ensures that users can choose the plan that best suits their needs for short-term or long-term connectivity.
Saily is undergoing internal testing, with the beta version expected to hit later this year.
“When travelling, you want continuous internet access, but that’s not always easy. Even if there’s a coffee shop nearby with an open Wi-Fi network, you don’t want to risk exposing your device to a network you’re not sure is secure. Saily will ensure you don’t need to use public Wi-Fi networks you don’t trust to access the internet,” added Maknickas.
NordVPN has been expanding to different technology market segments lately. Last month, we reported that the company is entering the lucrative cyber insurance market in collaboration with select insurance companies in the United States and the United Kingdom.
