NordLayer unveils enterprise browser to strengthen enterprise security

NordLayer enterprise browser brings next-gen design to enhance business security and tackle the growing use of web-based SaaS threats. With cyber threats evolving alongside increasing web-based workflows and Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) policies, NordLayer’s solution is a browser that helps organisations protect their networks and sensitive data.

According to NordLayer’s managing director, Donatas Tamelis, the enterprise browser is a natural evolution of the company’s mission to secure business networks. Having already introduced a browser extension for added protection, NordLayer is now taking a more comprehensive approach to cybersecurity.

NordLayer enterprise browser will allow Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and security teams to manage network access, enforce security policies, and monitor user activity seamlessly. The browser also has data loss prevention features, including control over copy-paste functions, camera and microphone usage, and unauthorised downloads or uploads.

“With the introduction of a full-fledged enterprise browser, CISOs and security teams will be able to control security settings in the browser, manage network access and segmentation, and observe users’ activity without interrupting them,” Donatas Tamelis told Candid.Technology.

The rise of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications threatens enterprise security. NordLayer enterprise browser is built to address this shift and protect the organisation’s integrity.

“Introducing an enterprise browser is a natural progression for us. We’ve established a strong foundation in securing business networks, empowering organisations to protect and manage their traffic at the network level. As enterprises increasingly depend on web applications, it’s clear that the browser has become a critical gateway — essential not just for productivity but also a frontline for security,” Tamelis continued.

The browser also aims to tackle the threat of unmanaged devices within a BYOD environment. Enterprise systems are often unmanaged, and NordLayer’s enterprise browser is designed to simplify security for these devices, eliminating the need for additional endpoint software while still enforcing security policies.
