If you’re looking to buy Sketchup Pro for your 3D-modeling needs, knowing the system requirements to get it running is a must to make sure you don’t end up spending for nothing on Sketchup or more than your budget allows on upgrading your PC.
Note that according to Sketchup, if you’re running Sketchup on Chromebook, the minimum system requirements won’t deliver a smooth performance. You’ll need to ensure that your Chromebook meets the recommended system requirements for the best Sketchup experience.
Needless to say, you’ll require an active internet connection to install and verify Sketchup and also to use some of its features.

Additional notes
- Sketchup only uses a single processor on multiple processor machines. It doesn’t support hyper or multi-threading.
- Logitech 3D Motion Controllers from 3Dconnexion are supported.
- You’ll need to restart Sketchup if you adjust screen DPI o scaling to see icons and drawing elements correctly.
