Spotify has rolled out a new in-app experience called Only You, which creates personalised playlists for everyone based on their listening experience, delivered in a Wrapped-esque shareable package.
Only You on Spotify will also deliver stats and insights related to a user’s listening habits. The feature started rolling out globally on Android and iOS on Wednesday for Spotify Premium and Free users.
Spotify is also beta-testing another feature called Blend, allowing two friends to automatically merge their Only You music showcase into a single playlist.
The new Only You includes features like Your Audio Birth Chart, Your Dream Dinner Party, Your Artist Pairs, Your Song Year, Your Time of Day and Your Genres/Topics.
The cosmic feature called Your Audio Birth Chart showcases the artist a user listened to the most over the last six months under Sun sign, the artist that brings out emotions in the user under Moon sign and the artist they’ve recently connected with under the Rising sign.
With your Dream Dinner Party, users can choose up to three artists who they’d like to invite to their dinner party and a Spotify Mix will be created for each artist.
Your Artist Pairs will showcase unique artist pairs from your playlists. Your Song Year will show the journey of a user through time via their choice of music. Your Time of Day indicates whether someone listens to music early in the day or late at night, and Your Genres/Topics showcase the combination of music and podcast genres.
“While you’ll have to wait a few more months for Wrapped and the songs and podcasts that soundtracked your 2021, Only You is all about celebrating how you listen. Fans can head to Spotify.com/OnlyYou,” Spotify announced.
