Why does Instagram limit certain tasks? Quick Fix

Instagram is one of the world’s most popular social media platforms. With a user base of millions across the world, it’s important that the app keeps run and running without any issues. However, just like everything else tech, it also isn’t immune to random bugs and glitches from time to time.

In this article, we’re talking about why Instagram limits how often users can do a certain task and how you can get around these restrictions.

Why does Instagram limit how often we do a certain task?

Anything from how many people you can follow or unfollow to even the amount of people you follow or unfollow on a daily basis is governed by a limit. These limits are generally high and everyday users won’t exactly hit them, but if you’re dealing with a big Instagram account with a following in the hundreds of thousands or above, the numbers go up rather quickly.

These limits exist on the platform to prevent its users from spam and threat actors. If the actions weren’t limited, it wouldn’t take long for Instagram to turn into a dumpster fire with fake profiles and spammy DMs spread all across.

How to get around these restrictions?

There is no official way to get around these restrictions and users who try using bots or automated tools often receive penalties or bans to keep such behaviour down.

There are certain Instagram limitations that you need to be aware of, including adding posts or stories, using hashtags. commenting, liking or even following and unfollowing.

That said, in case you’ve received a temporary ban or warning and believe that might not be the case, here are six fixes you can try out.

Check your internet connection

The first thing you should try out is to make sure you have a proper internet connection. If you’re using mobile data, try switching it off and back on again. If you’re on WiFi, restarting your router is a good way to clear out any internet issues you might be having.

Try logging into Instagram with a different device

Instagram might’ve blocked your device’s IP address. To counter this, try logging into your account from another phone or computer to see if you can get around the issue.

Stop using third-party apps on Instagram

If you’re using any third-party bots or apps to use Instagram, it’s about time you stop. Instagram doesn’t support the use of third-party programs to access its platforms and can block or restrict your accounts if it detects you’re doing the same.

Clear the app cache

Clearing the app’s cache can eliminate any corrupt files or data that might interfere with Instagram’s functionality.
