X has rolled out an early release of a new tool called ‘Radar’ to provide real-time insights into emerging trends and conversations. Radar aims to empower marketers and Premium+ subscribers by directly offering advanced trend analysis capabilities within the app.

The tool is seen as a way to deal with increasing competition from platforms like Bluesky and Threads. Previously known as ‘Insights,’ it was originally targeted at Verified Organisations — businesses that relied on the platform for marketing strategies, reports TechCrunch.

Insight allowed them to track topics, perform keyword analysis, and visualise trends, helping marketers tailor their content to maximise engagement. However, the hefty price tag of $1,000 per month placed Insights out of reach for many smaller businesses, limiting its accessibility to larger companies with bigger budgets.

With its rebranding as Radar, X is now making the tool more widely available by integrating it into its Premium+ subscription tier, priced at $16 per month (or $168 annually when subscribing via the web).

Radar also does, more or less, the same job as Insights, giving marketers and users access to real-time insights by tracking conversation volume and velocity. These features help users identify the most talked-about topics and assess how quickly discussions are gaining momentum.

This information is critical for businesses and content creators to understand the best times to post and engage with their audience, potentially boosting their visibility and relevance.

While Radar is officially rolling out, X has clarified that the current version is still on early release, with additional updates planned. Only select Premium+ users will have immediate access to the tool as the company continues to fine-tune the feature based on early feedback.

Recently, X updated its privacy policy to allow AI tools to scrap user data. Also, X changed how blocking others on the platform works. Now, blocking somebody on X won’t stop them from viewing your public posts.
